Memphis vs Villanova

Respect Tigers 61-59 win at home against Missouri but troubled a bit by 64-74 loss on the road to Illinois. Tigers have played a tough schedule as they lost to Wake Forest on the road as well 76-85. Tigers can play defense but the free throw shooting of the starters is suspect. Villanova is coming off an impressive loss to Kansas on the road 79-86 and has played most of it's games on the road. Cats starters possess solid shooting both inside and out as well as free throw shooting. Hence,

1* Villanova -4.5

LSU vs Arkansas

Tigers are 9-1 with their only loss a recent road loss to Houston 52-60. This is a fairly young team going on the road to a very hostile site. Shooting from the arc is limited and free throw shooting is average. Arkansas is more mature club and starters hit a better percentage from the field as well as the arc and free throw line. Arkansas is a tough place to win for a young visitor. Hence,

Arkansas +1.5

Overall Unit Record YTD: (60-38.6) 60.85% 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(6-3)(+8.1) 1*(37-26-2)(+8.3)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (44-29-2) 60.27%
NCAAB Record YTD: (12-10-1)(+3.0)
NBA Record YTD: (5-4)(+2.6)
NCAAF Record YTD: (21-8)(+22.0) (Final Bowl Game Record 19-8 Included)
NFL Record YTD: (6-7-1)(-6.2)

Plays are rated 1*-5*

Good Luck All

Aloha Ted, I very glad that you chose to stay around a bit longer. I must apologize if my actions, in the other forums put you in a awkward position, then you may have wanted to be in. I am sorry for this. I just got caught off guard by your announcing that you are leaving and I felt that enough is enough with people chasing those who bring so much value to this forum, away again. Generous people such as yourself, is a rare thing to find especially in this business. So we are all lucky when someone of your experience , knowledge, and insights, is willing to share it with us all. Anyways to keep this short, I just wanted to say agains. Glad that you have decided to stick around. As you can see from your good bye thread. Many others here, people who are respected themselves are also glad you are still around. Aloha CC.

Captain:

Aloha! Good to hear from you. I sent you an e-mail, but maybe you never got it. You have nothing to apologize for. You didn't put me in an awkward situation at all. In fact, I very much appreciated your support for me. It was I who have placed you in an awkward situation by staying but hopefully it will be for the good of everyone. So, please except my apologies. I take full responsibilty for my thread and the responses that I received touched me deeply which is why I decided to stay and share. I've gone a little stale on my picks since the conclusion of the bowl season, but hopefully will bounce back soon. Sure is nice to hear from you. Take good care my friend.

Aloha Ted, its all good my friend.I did get your email. I wanted to ask you sometime in the future, if you can go over you money management system you use. I am not having the success that I have been using, and would like to get more info on yours if you dont mind. Also, I was wondering if you could address a system for here in Hawaii. Where the juice is 20% no less, no more, and based on Straight best only, $25 minimum bet, avg bets around $100-$300 per game. Trying to help some collegues who just wont play offshore at all, hopefully win alittle. I read your post on money management you posted in the offshore forum. Gave me a start. Maybe we can do this via email instead of here, but I will ask you again later, if ok. Aloha and GL to us and lets kick ass, CC.

co captain,

just thought I would chime in on this one with a few words...

Shopping for the best available line/vig is VITAL if anyone wants to be a winner in the long run...After all if you were buying a tv or VCR would you buy the first one you saw or would you shop around for the best value/price?

I only bring this up becauz I remember in a post a while back you had mentioned that you had PURDUE (I think that was the team) + 3....The game went to OT & purdue lost by & so it didnt matter....but I remember thinking it was strange that you had mentioned that you only had 3 cauz 3.5 was widely available that day...in fact I think that 3 was actually hard to find! I am sure you remember how purdue was down by 3 before they scored the field goal to tie it...That would have been a tough push considering many who had bet on Purdue would have won that one.

As for your buddies who cant get anything except for 20% Vig...I have some simple advice...DONT GAMBLE...that is robbery...It is hard enough to win with 10% or even 5% vig...20% is criminal...

Why dont you book for your friends at 10%...infact why dont you cut into the market in hawaii at 10% if all others charge 20% business should boom...

talk to your local shops & let them know that you cannot play at 20% anymore...

Your posts are very informative & you obviously have a fair amount of experience...I am sure you know most of what I said above anyway...just my 2 cents...

SportsSavant, I appreciate your input, but their is just to many reasons for me to go into that we know of, that others arent ready to trust in, believe in, or change to. So because of this, its no sense talking about it. As far as Hawaii goes , 20% juice is standard practice since forever. In Hawaii, we are use to this type of taxing. Hell , we pay over $2.00 a gallon for regular gasoline. No body seems to riot or catch the Bus , everyone still wants to own their own car. To much traffic . Also, the local books here are slowing losing their business, but what keeps them in business is the easibiliy for one to place a bet. Just a phone call away. But since others here like some family members dont want to make the jump offshore, I thought I ask knowledgeable people like Ted to help me give some sort of money management system for them to use with such a high vig. Thanks.CC
